Our live course is designed to guide you, step-by-step, through the process of creating BEAUTIFUL MODEST GARMENTS, regardless of your skill level, with highly trained experts with you on the day.
Whether you're a seasoned seamstress or a beginner just starting your journey, this course offers comprehensive, easy-to-follow lessons that will empower you to create beautiful, custom Clothing
What you will go home with..
Over the course of two days, you'll go home with two complete patterns: one for a Tailored semi - fitted abaya and one for a Kimono. Each of these patterns involves unique pattern cutting and sewing skills, ensuring a rewarding learning experience.
Furthermore, you'll have the opportunity to bring these designs to life with your sewing machine. Not only will you leave with these two handmade garments, but also with a sense of accomplishment, newfound friendships, and a lifelong mentor. Truly invaluable!


What you will learn in the 2 days
Course content: Day 1
10.00: Introduction to the pattern and how to use
10.30: Tracing off the pattern to your size
11.30: Fold fabric and cut out
1.00: Lunch break - Please bring a packed lunch
1.30: Start sewing the zip into garment
2.30: Sew up the neckline and join shoulders
3.30: Insert sleeves, and sew up side seams
4.00: Fitting the abaya, adjusting and Hemming
5.00: Finish
Course content: Day 2
10.00: Cutting out the basic Kimono Pattern
11.30: Cutting it out onto fabric
12.30: Start sewing the kimono
1.00: Lunch break - Please bring a packed lunch
1.30: Learn how to attach the plackets very neatly
2.30: Sewing up the cuffs on the kimono
3.30: 15/ 20 min coffee break
3.45: Trying on, adjusting and hemming the abaya
5.00: Pack up

Equipment you must bring with you
- Sewing Machine, with zipper foot
- Fabric (please ask what to buy) 3m for abaya, 3m for kimono
- Matching zip - 16” (not invisible)
- Matching thread, good quality - Moon, Gutterman or Madeira
- Pen
- Pencil (I prefer the leaded ones)
- 30cm ruler
- Paper scissors
- Fabric scissors (if buying new, ask for recommendation)
- Tape measure
- Pins (please buy good quality)
- Tailors chalk
- Seam ripper
- Masking tape
- Iron-on interfacing
- Pattern cutting paper and handouts will be provided
Terms and Conditions
- You will be required to pay a deposit of £100 to secure your place, we will contact you via WhatsApp for the remaining payment closer to the time.
- All learning difficulties, disabilities must be declared before paying deposit.
- Deposit must be made to secure your place on the course. This is refundable until 14 days prior to the course start date, after this its NON-REFUNDABLE.
- The remaining payment is made BEFORE the course starts. The payment is NON-REFUNDABLE once you start
- It is strictly the responsibility of the individual to attend the lessons.
- We are under no obligation to repeat lessons or provide extra content including videos.
